Living In A Dream: Seattle, Washington

Isn't this gorgeous?

Maybe I've watched

Sleepless in Seattle

one too many times

but I think it would be alot of fun & kind of romantic living in a floating home. I've never really even been in one, but I would like to give it a try. Check out the link below to see the rest of the house....don't mind the price - we're not really buying it! Just doing some real estate window shopping and living a dream in Seattle, Washington. 1. I saw the film only a few nights ago.
That house looks lovely. I wonder if it creaks on the water like a house boat does ?

  2. Oh, I would live here - maybe not with my 4 yr old son(!) - it's so pretty....mind you, I would sit outside all day with a cup of tea, nothing would get done!!

And I do believe it is a fact that you can never watch "Sleepless in Seattle" too many times ;)

I absolutely loved the Danny/Louis YouTube clip you posted - absolute genius. I used to love Danny Kaye films when I was younger, such a talented man.

    Have a lovely day :)

  3. Hi Cathi! Thank you for your comment!
I LOVE Seattle! We would go there often to antique when we lived in Portland. My only complaint about the city is the traffic, which is really bad.

  4. I completely agree with you! I'd live there in a second. Hmmmm . . . maybe when I leave the island in January I need to go in search of a floating home!

Thanks for your wonderful comment on my last post!

  5. SCINTILLA - it does look lovely. well, if I ever am lucky enough to stay on one, I will report back about the creaking..:)

SIMONE - I don't think I would get alot done either, so perhaps a vacation home? Isn't that Danny Kaye/Louis Armstrong clip wonderful? I have been driving my daughter crazy playing it over and over - she just smiles and shakes her head....haha...

FOR THE LOVE OF A HOUSE - thank you for stopping by. I love Seattle too, we were there last year at this time, but stayed downtown and walked everywhere, so no traffic - plus I am from Los Angeles, does it get any worse? haha..:)

GIGI - you are living in pretty much paradise right now, but it would be fun in one of these homes for a bit at least...your posts are always so lovely to read, I await your next one!

    HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

  16. What a coincidence. The BF and I watched 'Love Happens' this weekend and I loved it, based in Seattle. It made me miss the northwest so much, that I looked for rentals in Seattle the past few days. I could never get him there, but I'm missing the rainy days a little. Such a great movie. I want her life as a florist. :)

TORIE JAYNE - I never tire of watching that movie - it's wonderful!

MIMI - Wow, I didn't realize you were in Seattle...my mom lives on the other side of the state...Seattle is lovely!

LIFESTYLE BOHEMIA: That tub had me sold..I am an expert in the art of bathing with bubbles....haha...

SIMPLY COLETTE - I can't wait to see that movie. I saw it several months ago when it was in the final stages of being made - what they do here in So.Cal is show the movies at local theaters and use focus groups to figure out how to make the movie better...I loved it when I saw it the first time, and am interested in what they changed in it...
