Work wise this is truly a crazy
time of year, but this weekend was
filled with moments of simple joy.
Long Bike Rides(just ask my legs...)
Planning a cocktail party menu with Sally
for her 50th birthday.
Watching an old Barbara Stanwyck movie
(love.love.love. her!)
Making a YUMMY vegan mushroom stroganoff with Steff.
Listening to Steff describe how proud she is of herself
for making her first vegan apple pie - including a nice
homemade flaky crust - it was FABULOUSLY DELICIOUS!
Seeing the joy on her face and hearing it in her voice
well, that defintely was a proud mama moment!

How was your weekend?

ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week Cathi. XXXX
Apple pie? That will bring the joy to the surface any day!
ReplyDeletesounds like joy (except for the sore legs after the long bike ride!).
ReplyDeleteI love proud mama moments when I listen to one of my children tell me about an accomplishment!
Long life bike rides indeed. It is snowing here tonight ~ come on spring I know you are out there somewhere! I made some yummy tea biscuits on Sunday ~ Trev's grandmothers recipe and they were delish ~ now you have me wanting a big piece of apple pie ~ good for Steff. Work has been crazy for me too ~ big launch this week so I played catch up today in preparation for the sh*t storm that I know will start tomorrow. Hang in there Cathi ~ hugs to you sweet friend. xo
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great weekend!

Which old movie? I want to watch it. Do tell. Don't you just adore her in Christmas in Connecticut? So glad you have so many joyful things going on in the midst of the chaos.
