I thought I'd start this week like I start each day, thinking about what I am grateful for:
Last week was a bit rough in a few different ways, one being health
Alex and I had food poisoning that knocked us for a loop for several days
to feel even remotely better was a source of pure joy for us both!
So grateful to be feeling good again
So grateful to be feeling good again
The second rough spot was all of the nastiness floating around the
internet after the election. I don't like to talk politics but I do applaud
and respect everyone that got out to vote regardless of which side of
the fence they were on. I for one am grateful to live in a country where
we have so many freedoms that are not allowed to many others in other
parts of the world and for that I am so very thankful.
Kindess is essential in life - there is so much
bitterness in people at times, and chipping away
at them with a smile or a sweet word eventually
will soften their hard shell. I have seen it in action
so many times in my life!
Grateful to the people that spread joy naturally.
So looking forward to seeing my kids next week,
Grateful that they are healthy, happy and loving
and caring human beings, as a parent what
more can you ask for?
Grateful for spending the day with a girlfriend,
no one understands you like your girlfriends!
Cheers to a wonderful week ahead practicing
the art of kindness in every part of our day!
Life is good!
xxoo
Hi Cathi,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that you and Alex have been poorly but happy to hear that you are both on the mend.
......and, we all have so much to be grateful of and I am so thankful everyday.
Have a lovely week Cathi and both of you look after each other. Much love. XXXX
How awful to hear about the food poisoning!
ReplyDeleteIt's always a good idea to take a moment and reflect on the things one is grateful for.
Glad that you have that spring back in your step. I tend not to talk politics but some people are really passionate about it and make their feelings heard ~ yikes! Love your list of things you are grateful for Cathi ~ seeing the kids on the week-end will be a big bonus for you. Enjoy your week. xo
ReplyDeleteOh Cathi, I know that every time I pop by your blog I am going to leave with a great big smile on my face :) I love how positive you always are even in the face of food poisoning and other downers! Much love.xx
