moving on down the 2010 road....

I have never been one to make resolutions, but like
alot of other bloggers, the word GOAL has been the
IT word of the new year. I have been sitting here
contemplating what I want to accomplish this year
and what I have discovered (well it's not really news
to me) is that what I am lacking is FOCUS. I am a major
PROCRASTINATOR, and that is one thing that I really
want to work on this year. Last year, I felt like I was living
in a fog - I was functioning, doing everything that needed
to be done, having fun, traveling - but my head and my heart
were in a serious cloud of grief - trying to figure out my life
without my friend, Sandi - as she was a big part of my
everyday life. The wonderful part about getting older
(at least for me) is that my wants become less and my
needs become very simple. So without further adieu,
here are a few things that i would like to accomplish
in this fabulous new year - 2010:
  • share smiles with everyone
  • learn something new each day
  • listen to my italian language CD's more
  • and my french CD's too
  • don't put things off
  • be kind to everyone, listen more
  • eat out less, cook at home more
  • make healthy food choices
  • and that includes chocolate
  • prepare gluten free meals
  • go to more cafes and people watch
  • slow down and relax
  • pare down my wardrobe with classics
  • wear my burgundy converses often
  • go on frequent and longer walks
  • purge & organize my "stuff"
  • take that yoga or pilates class
  • plant more flowers, bring them indoors too
  • get together with my friends and family more often
  • get my community involved in
  • apply for grants for the above non profit
  • buy fruits & veggies from the local farmers markets
  • laugh and dance more often
  • listen to music more often
  • go to more live theatre shows
  • go on more local field trips
  • watch uplifting films
  • take longer bubble baths
  • enjoy a cocktail or two with friends
  • read more amazing books
  • travel to awesome places with Alex
  • go on adventures with my kids, friends, family
  • buy less, use what I have
  • for gift giving - buy handmade or make myself
  • be a grandma (this one is out of my hands.)
  • ALL IN ALL,
  • ENJOY LOVE, ENJOY LIFE!
