I have a confession to make. When there is a movie that I really want to see, I prefer to go alone. So tonight after work, I took myself on a movie date. I thought it was a amazingly charming film with a fabulous cast, made all the more wonderful if you have ever read A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway! I loved gazing at all the Parisian scenery, especially since I remember all the places from our visit last summer! The movie made me laugh (quite a bit) and smile and the very best part was at the end of the movie the whole audience clapped - it had been a long time since that has happened in a movie theatre(for me anyways.) Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a fun, interesting movie, you will love it!!
P.S. My George has a new movie coming out soon called The Descendants, and it looks wonderful!

Cathi,
ReplyDeleteI saw this movie with my friend the other day - and I can't stop thinking about it! I must see it again and own it as soon as it come out on DVD. It's just magical!
You know, I have never gone to the movies by myself, but your approach makes a lot of sense! No worries about your "date" chatting at the wrong moments and no need to share the popcorn :)

Just stopped by for the first time and so glad I did! I LOVE going to movies by myself. People think it's really weird but I don't want to have to monitor my reactions/feelings because I knwo the person next to me. Maybe it is strange! But I understand why you do it.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see this movie and I am also thinking of going by myself. I have never gone to a movie alone but after some rough baby bootcamp/ night time battles I am in need of alone me time! Glad, to hear its a good movie.
ReplyDeletehmmm.. I wonder if we might have been sitting next to each other. Not impossible, I saw it by myself too (love to do that)... at the Fallbrook Laemmle :))
ReplyDeleteThank you for adding my blog to your list
