The Festa Major de Gracia is the biggest of
Barcelona's neighbourhood street festivals.
19 streets and plazas are decorated by
the residents of Gracia. Isn't it pretty!
It starts in mid August and lasts
for a week, and it happens to be the
week that we will be there. I am so excited
to be able to experience the festivities
along with all of the other fabulous
sights in Barcelona!
The residents spend hours
transforming parts of their
street with charming homemade
carnival style decorations and
themes to compete for the prize
of being the best decorated street
or square of the Gracia festival
and the results are absolutely amazing!
So looking forward to our trip in 36 days!
We have also made some last minute changes to
our vacation and are stopping in London
for a few days to explore more of a city
we have come to love very very much!
