This photo reminds me of the magical day trip that we took to Paris almost 2 years ago for my birthday - we had such a fun time just wandering thru the city, people watching at cafes, taking
a short nap on a park bench near the Eiffel Tower. Fun times that I will always cherish and never forget!
On the flip side, today is also one of those unforgettable days
that will live in my memory forever - the day that I lost my dad.
It's been 6 years and boy is he missed! So today I will honor him and perhaps even have a cocktail and remember some fun times with him - he was quite the character. Cheers to the best dad ever!

Oh Cathi,
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad when we lose our parents and, we miss them so much. I think about mine everyday but, I guess we have to remember all of the good times that we shared with them. I think that a few cocktails are in order today and, I think that I will join you !!
Will be thinking of you today. XXXX
You had me daydreaming about Paris!
ReplyDeletePeople deal with grief in a different way and I think I've somehow managed to be detached to death, well especially when old people die who have lived a good life. But I cannot imagine what it's like to lose one's parents.
Here's to the memory of your father!
Enjoy that cocktail Cathi...and reliving wonderful memories. He is gone from this part of your life but your father will live with you forever. xo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo of the Eiffel Tower! Losing our dads is one of the most difficult times of our lives--I share your pain. Cherish the good times!
ReplyDeleteOh my! What an incredibly beautiful photograph!
ReplyDeleteWow, I cannot believe how long it's been, cathi, since either one of those things! xxoo
ReplyDeleteAhh Cathi ~ I know how hard this day is for you and I am sending you a big hug. I raise my glass to your Dad and all the wonderful memories you hold in your heart. xoxo
