well now, our rainy weekend turned into a weekend filled with nothing but beautiful blue skies. It was brisk, but perfect walking weather and I definitely took advantage of that.
Hung out at the assisted living with a great friend Roz that lives there. We were chatting about our friend Norma that passed away last week. Roz and Norma were joined at the hip, so to speak - so we were celebrating Norma's amazing life and I'm so glad that they had each other - they were so cute together, always looking out for each other and bantering back and forth. Aren't good friends the bee's knees?
Went for a nice dinner out with my daughter Steff and her guy Tyler. We had a relaxing meal with great conversation and a lovely chocolate torte with strawberries !
Watched Letters to Juliet again. I just love Vanessa Redgrave and the beautiful Italian scenery!
Wrestled with my sprinkler system that would not turn off, even after I unplugged it. I was wet, muddy, had the tools out trying to just disconnect it and my friend Sally came over and showed me a little lever I had not seen to turn off - go figure....We had a good laugh !
Had a nice, lazy morning hanging out with my guy and that turned into a nice relaxing afternoon reading - in between dealing with my sprinklers....
I hope you had a nice weekend, friends... How did you spend it?
xxoo
That does sound like a lovely weekend. You must be having some warm weather down south - sprinklers already? We've been chilly up here!
ReplyDeleteFriday and Saturday were full of household chore type stuff: cleaned out the garage, cooked up a storm, unpacked from a trip, laundry, and the husband re-designed our chickens' area.
Sunday we had a family picnic with my stepdaughter at Benziger winery. It was a gorgeous day. And we bought some close out wine on deep discount. Yay!
had to giggle about the sprinkler. ; ) SO smiling.

ReplyDeleteBack to the old grind today, but my weekend was nice. I give you an E for effort on the sprinklers! xxoo
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I watch Letters to Juliet about 3 times a month. My eyes water everytime she sees her Lorenzo in the vineyard. Oh their eyes!!! Melts my heart...
