making me smile this week....

I don't know if I have mentioned that my guy and I work together
or shall I say, I work for him.  What's nice about it is every now and
then when I am within an ear shot of his office, I hear him telling
his clients all about our trip we took last summer to London and Paris.
That ALWAYS puts a smile on my face as we had such a fabulous time,
and it makes me happy that he feels the same way.  Looking forward
to planning the next one SOON!!  Fingers & toes crossed for Italy!

I had a live theater musical extravaganza this weekend, and it was
WONDERFUL!!  My friend Vicky's daughter Hannah was in a show
at her high school and they did BYE BYE BIRDIE - which was alot of
fun to watch.  I was so amazed at the talent that all the kids had in that
show and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to see it.  The next day
my friend Sally and I went to see a play called THE DROWSY CHAPERONE- it was based in the 1920's and it was a fun and campy play that we both thought was FABULOUS!  I am so thankful that there is such a vast supply of plays in our area with the most talented, dedicated people!!!

My son, Matt is turning the BIG 30 in two weeks and I just can't believe it! How can he be thirty when I still feel 25? haha.....It just blows me away at how fast time goes by - it's in the blink of an eye.  I am so proud of both of my kids they are the lights of my life!

ADVANCED STYLE blog is making me smile BIG TIME.  It's an elderly Satorialist and the people they chose to photograph and interview are FANTASTIC and so inspiring!  Definitely take a few moments to stroll thru this blog, it will make you smile too!

The weather the last few days have been so nice, but we are experiencing a schizophrenic type of weather.  We go from summer one day to winter the next.  Make up your mind weather! All in all - we have some pretty awesome weather and I look forward to alot of outdoor time - taking my walks (which I have been very good at lately), bike riding and eating out in the backyard.

My daughter, Stephanie made a wonderful stir fry tonight.  Having your own personal chef - never gets old, I must say!  I guess it's my turn to do the dishes....

A few years ago, Sally and I took one of those free dance classes from the Arthur Murray dance studio and I was having a good laugh today remembering that.  We learned 3 dances - salsa, swing and the waltz.  We had such a fun time, but it was quite the humbling experience....

What is making you smile this week?  Whatever it is, I'm glad - the world feels so much better when you see people smiling. No matter if you are going thru a hard time, there is always something to remember that puts that smile on your face.

And speaking of feeling old: Matt is going to be 30!!!???? xoxo

  3. Lori - I am so excited for you! You will have a fab time!

Michelle - After seeing all the plastic surgery victims down here in LA, I am happy to be aging naturally! Remember when Matt was little and I brought him to the restaurant to work on his school days off?
