A few weeks ago, I took yet another quick trip up to beautiful San Francisco
My friend Sally and I - along with Stephanie, Tyler and Brooke
wandered thru the Ferry Building, exploring all the wonderful shops
And sampled some very tasty macaroons
Outside near the Ferry Building, we had fun checking out
some interesting sculptures
And climbing up and all around this unique water fountain
We even took a drive down the very crooked, curvy Lombard Street
I hadn't done that in years!
Lots of gorgeous flowers on and near the houses on the street
A blurry view of the city - taken out the side window of our car
I love seeing the Cable Cars - they always make me smile!
Finally my long awaited trip to a fave SF spot, The Buena Vista Cafe - home
of the very tasty and strong Irish Coffee - they will surely warm your insides!
It was pretty busy there and the trick to getting a seat was like a game of musical chairs.
You have to position yourself right next to a table that you think might leave soon and
just slide right in when they get up... the family sitting at the table
we were hovering over asked us to sit down with them and we had a nice chat
with them while we ordered our coffee's. They were fun to talk to and I found out
they live in the same town as my sister.....small small world! The man had just
returned from Ireland and he was telling us about some fun drinks he had there!
It's been so much fun for me spending time up in San Francisco again. I lived
very near there many years ago, but truly I appreciate it's beauty much more now!
We ate at some pretty cool places and Gracias Madre was a vegan restaurant
Stephanie and Tyler had wanted to try. It was delicious and a very homey
and comfortable atmosphere to spend a few hours with friends and family!
All in all, a wonderful day in the always fabulous San Francisco!
Next weekend, I am heading up north again to visit family and especially to meet
my new great nephew Mateo - I can't wait to hold him!!
Cheers to a fabulous week ahead for us all!
xxoo
That looks so fabulous, I've always wanted to visit SF, maybe one day. Glad you had such a lovely time xo

ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing city Cathi ~ it is on my bucket list for sure! Looks like you had an amazing weekend. xo
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous! I love, love San Francisco! I was there in high school and I returned there for my babymoon. Nothing like climbing those hills being 21 weeks pregnant! My favorite place to eat there is Nob Hill Cafe.
ReplyDeleteCathi I had to smile when I saw these photos, I was just in San Francisco a few days ago and you captured the mood perfectly. It's such a beautiful city and I only wish we could run into each other someday.
ReplyDeleteI love this post, Cathi! SF is at the very top of my list of US cities to visit, and your photos make me even more anxious to go there! Looks like you had a fabulous time, my friend! xo
