A few weeks ago, I took a solo road trip up to Northern
California to see my family and go to a graduation
We were hanging out at my sisters place and
Mason got such a kick out of "driving" the tractor with Poppy -
he even gave Steff & Tyler a ride around the yard. When he was
finished he came in the house and with as much excitement as he
could muster (which was quite a bit) he screamed with joy
I DROVE THE TRACTOR!!! It was so precious!
Little Mia and her fave bear wanted to sit out
the tractor ride and just enjoyed watching
Mason drive his passengers around.
Meet little Hudson - he is such a cuddly little cutie
and Mason is sure enjoying being a big brother
Here's our graduate Brooke - we are all so proud of her
She decided to forego the huge graduation ceremony and just go
to her department ceremony and I tell you when they started playing
the Pomp and Circumstance March song - tears were flowing
It was a bittersweet moment and how I wished her mom could
have been there to see it - she would have been so happy!
We definitely felt Sandi's spirit with us all day long!
Me and my baby girl. It was fun hanging out with Steff and
her boyfriend Tyler, Brooke and her dad. We all laughed so
much all day long that we were so exhausted by the end of the day.
After the graduation, Brooke wanted to take us to a Puerto Rican
Cafe that she loves a few miles across the Golden Gate, so on our
way back we stopped at the lookout point to take some photos
of the beautiful Golden Gate! It never gets old looking at it!
While we were at the lookout point, the funniest thing happened -
Steff and Brooke's dad were taking photos of her in front of the bridge
when a busload of tourists came up and wanted to take their
picture with her. At least 10 people wanted their
picture taken with her and we were all hysterical laughing as
we couldn't figure out why. I got a nice note from Brooke this
week and she told me how she was still cracking up about that!
Steff and Tyler
Next week, I am heading back up north with my friend Sally, who happens to be
Tyler's mom - we will be heading to San Francisco yet again to do a bit of
wandering around the city and hopefully I can finally get to the Buena Vista
Cafe for a nice hot cup of that yummy Irish Coffee!! We are looking forward to it!
The weekend was a whirlwind of fun. Lots of love and laughter.
I also was able to spend a nice afternoon with my son, Matt and his
beautiful wife, Heather. They had just returned from Maui the night before,
so I got to hear all about their trip and just enjoy their wonderful company!
ENJOY YOUR LOVED ONES!
CHEERS TO THE WEEKEND, FRIENDS!
xxoo

ReplyDelete.... and, many, many congratulations to Brooke ..... her mum was with her....take my word for it. It is so lovely that she has you, Steph, Tyler and everyone else there to share her moment with her.
Oh, and Mason, Mia and Hudson are so cute. .... why is it that most little boys LOVE tractors and trains ?!!
Have a glorious weekend Cathi. XXXX
"Enjoy your loved ones." That's a perfect theme for my summer - exactly what I plan to do.
ReplyDeleteYes, so true, "enjoy your loved ones" -- life is so short and we take those special moments (and even the every day moments) and if we're wise, we're like Mason who knew exactly how to react after he "drove" that tractor!!! xoxox
ReplyDeleteWhat a great weekend Cathi! Love the story about Brooke "the celebrity" at the lookout. Love all the shots ~ especially the ones of you pretty lady. I know you are having a fabulous time again this weekend ~ cheers to you sweet friend. xoxo
